Supplemental feeding

The use of supplemental feed and attractants for whitetail deer can be an excellent draw in addition to food plots and natural food sources are available on your land. Several brands of deer pellets are available with the type of protein content necessary for good deer nutrition.  Mixing them with corn tends to make the feeding more financially feasible, and the palatability of the feed better. Again with this aspect of deer management, ideally we blend the concepts of herd health with the attractant quality that a feeder may offer.

The sections below address some of the considerations related to supplemental deer feeding.
